The JAB ANSTOETZ Group strives to make its website https://www.jab.de/ as accessible as possible. The aim is to provide all users, regardless of individual limitations or the devices they use, with equal access to our information.

This declaration is made as a precautionary and voluntary measure. Should the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) apply, this declaration also fulfils the legal requirements. The website https://www.jab.de/ is primarily for informational purposes. Any login area is intended exclusively for specialist retailers (B2B).

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.jab.de/ including all associated subpages, as well as to the associated brand pages of the JAB ANSTOETZ Group and BW Bielefelder Werkstätten, insofar as these fall under the Group's website. Regardless of this, we base the further development of our website on the state of the art, in particular the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformity level AA, and EN 301 549.

Accessibility status:

The website https://www.jab.de/ is largely accessible in accordance with the above standards.

Measures already implemented to improve accessibility:

• Addition of meaningful image descriptions (alternative text) for editorial and essential visual content.
• Optimisation of colour contrasts for text, controls and navigation.
• Use of the UserWay accessibility widget, which allows users to make individual adjustments (e.g. font size, contrast, focus highlighting).
• Improvement of the structure and comprehensibility of central page content.

Barriers that currently still exist:

Some content and functions are not yet fully accessible:

• Contact forms: The contact forms are not yet fully accessible in all respects. In particular, labels, error messages and/or full keyboard operability are not yet guaranteed throughout.
• Product finder: The product finder is not yet fully accessible. There are restrictions in particular with regard to keyboard operability and focus guidance.
• Login area (specialist retailers): The login area for specialist retailers is not yet fully accessible.
• Restrictions exist in particular with regard to keyboard operability, focus guidance and the implementation of individual ARIA attributes.
• In some areas, ARIA attributes have not yet been fully or correctly implemented, which may limit their use with assistive technologies. The career page https://karriere.jab.de/ does not yet fully comply with the aforementioned accessibility standards..

Planned measures:

The barriers mentioned are known and will be gradually removed. The revision of the career page (https://karriere.jab.de/) is already being planned. The implementation of this measure is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.

Accessibility was assessed on the basis of:

• an internal self-assessment taking into account the WCAG 2.1 criteria,
• additional assessment, support and feedback from Inklupreneur mentors within the framework of Hilfswerft gGmbH,
• and an audit by the company eye-able.

The statement is reviewed regularly and updated in the event of significant changes to the website.
