PRIVACY

Privacy is an important matter to us. We therefore ensure that all provisions of the law are observed when processing your personal data.

Data collection and use

If you visit our site without registering or placing an order, we require only a few statistical data and the data technically necessary for the preparation of an offer and for system security. In this case you need not disclose your personal details.

If you establish contact with us, your name, contact details and request will be stored. The data is used to process your inquiry and to communicate with you.

If you place an order with us, for instance a sample request, we will collect and process your order and address details for the order handling, for possible queries and for subsequent orders. We use your e-mail address to confirm your inquiry. In the course of handling the order, the service providers we use (e.g. forwarder, logistician) receive the data as far as necessary for their purposes.

Once a registration is made on our site, we compare, in particular, your e-mail address with the stored data to identify you and save you the annoying filling in of further specifications. Of course, you may object to such use.

Web analysis

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “Cookies”, text files placed on your computer to enable an analysis of website traffic. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is normally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In the event of IP anonymisation being activated on this website, Google will shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union and other contracting states of the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. When required by the website operator Google will use this information to analyse your website usage, compiling reports on website activities for the website operator and providing further services related to website activity and internet usage. Google will not associate the IP address transferred by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent Google capturing and processing data related to your website usage (incl. your IP address) that is generated by the cookie by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Alternatively, you can prevent registration by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link: deactivate Google Analytics. This places an opt-out cookie that prevents the future registration of your data when visiting this website. This website registers IP addresses in an anonymised way. To guarantee this, Google Analytics has been extended by the code "anonymizeIp".

Advertising

We use your data – as far as this is legal without your separate, explicit consent – for our own advertising and marketing purposes, also repeatedly.

In particular it may be that we use your first name and surname, your postal address and – as far as we have received this additional information from you within the framework of our contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, your year of birth and your profession or business title for our own advertising purposes, e.g. for sending interesting offers, product information and sources of supply by letter post.

Your data will not be disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact listed below.

If you have subscribed separately to our newsletter, your e-mail address and possibly any further personal data you have given us voluntarily when registering (e.g. your name) will be used for our own advertising purposes.

Your rights

You are entitled to exercise your right of objection to the use of data for advertising and marketing purposes, for later registrations, and for establishing user profiles when pseudonyms are used. When you receive a newsletter or any other advertising material you can at any time object to a further use of your data for advertising purposes – also if this is legal without your consent – by sending us an informal message or revoking consent given, especially to stop further newsletter mailings. Of course, no extra charge will be incurred for this. (Particularly if you inform us by e-mail no further costs will be incurred, except for the transmission costs in accordance with the base rates of your provider.) Simply address your objection or cancellation to one of the contacts at the end of this message.

You may have given your consent to promotional contact or certain data uses (for instance for a newsletter). If so, the consent texts are stored with us and can be retrieved. For retrieval, simply contact jabexport@jab.de. We will then transmit the requested information to you by e-mail.

In accordance with the German Data Protection Act, you also have the right of free information about your stored data and where necessary the right of correction, blockage or deletion of data. In case of any questions or queries about the collecting, processing or use of personal data, and for information, correction, blockage or deletion of data, simply contact us by using the contact details below.
